Barbara Winton MCH, RSHom, MSc Nutritional Therapy, mBANT.

I have been in practice as a Homeopath since 1984 when I qualified from the London College of Homoeopathy with a Licentiate. In 1985 after one years post graduate training I obtained Membership of the College (M.C.H.). In 1987 I became registered with the Society of Homeopaths (R.S.Hom), the main registering body for professional Homeopaths in the U.K.

Over the last 25 years, as well as private practice, I have worked for a GP surgery and a Family Centre providing homeopathy to their patients. Since five years I am also working at Breast Cancer Haven, a charity which offers free complementary therapy treatments to all suffering from breast cancer, either during or after their conventional treatment.

I am a member of Homeopathy for All, a local charity set up to provide homeopathy for disadvantaged groups through community organisations. I have worked at Herefordshire MIND, which supports those with mental health problems, and currently at Here4Women, an organization supporting socially isolated and disadvantaged women. I have also spent the last 16 years in homeopathic education, being a tutor and lecturer at the London School of Classical Homoeopathy.

More recently I completed an MSc in Nutritional Therapy at the University of Worcester as I have found that diet can often be a major influence on health, disease progression and wellbeing as well as energy levels. I have used nutritional information alongside homeopathy in some cases, or as a specific independent therapy to assist people with their health needs.

I have experience of supporting people with a wide range of health problems across the whole age range, from treating babies and pregnant women, to children, teenagers, adults and the elderly.

If you would like to discuss with me whether I feel that I may be able to help you, do telephone or email me for a general chat. It is always my intention to offer down-to-earth assessments of how homeopathy or nutritional therapy may be able to help and if I feel another therapy would be more effective, then I will always suggest it.

The Society of Homeopaths monitors standards of practice in Homeopathy, has a Code of Ethics and complaints procedure that all registered members abide by. I have professional insurance for my two therapies through the Society of Homeopaths.

The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) monitors standards for Nutritional Therapists and has a Code of Ethics that all members abide by.

All of these factors support me as a practitioner in providing the highest standard of service to the public.
